Filigree Box - Vinaigrette - Sterling Silver - Vintage

Rare beautiful filigree box that is definitely older and likely hand-made.  Based on open design likely a vinaigrette which was used by filling it with a piece of scented cotton and holding it up to the nose in areas with bad odors.  Measures approx 1.25 inches across x just over 1 inch.  Has faded markings on closure but also tested as sterling.
